Questions we get at the front desk

Do I need any experience to take a painting class?

No. Acrylic Foundations and Saturday Open Studio are built for people who have never held a brush. Every class page lists a level so you can tell at a glance whether it assumes prior work.

Are materials included in the class price?

Paint, mediums, canvas panels, and easels are included in every beginner class. Intermediate and advanced students bring their own brushes and any preferred palette, and we publish a short supply list on each class page.

How big are the classes?

Twelve students maximum, and most classes run eight to ten. The studio is set up so the instructor can reach every easel in a few steps.

Is there a charge to visit the gallery?

The gallery is free and open to the public Tuesday through Sunday. Opening receptions are also free and you do not need to reserve a spot.

Do you take work from local artists?

Yes. We review submissions from Sarasota County and the wider Gulf Coast twice a year and post open calls on this site and by email. Send five images, dimensions, and prices to hello@mandnart.com.

Can I buy a painting online and pick it up in Venice?

Yes. Choose local pickup at checkout and the piece is ready the next business day. We also ship anywhere in the continental United States.
